It is the season to be merry – enjoy our friends and family – take time off work.

A time to regenerate and recuperate getting ready for the next year and adventure ahead. We have been doing, doing the whole year and now is the chance to sit around and regenerate.
Or is it? It is easy to keep doing – only in another direction. The doing of social activities and catching up and eating and drinking and going somewhere.
It is all fun, and that is good! The caveat is as always balance. If you cannot balance now it is even harder to do so with the pressure of work as well as family.
A desire to back off from this whirlwind of activity is a call from Spirit to balance yourself. To heal the body and the soul so that they both remain healthy and strong. It is time to retreat from the outer world and reconnect with your soul.
There are many commitments to keep in your life, the deepest one being your soul purpose.
Give yourself a few minutes of quiet to step off the merry-go-round and let any intuition come to you in the peace of meditation or not-doing. You will feel rested and rejuvenated. Any messages that come to you will set you on your path with renewed joy and vigor.
Remember that when you are not connected with your spirit and soul purpose all the activity in the world will not fill the gap. When you are doing in accordance with your intuition and guidance you feel a sense of accomplishment and joy.
The world takes on a happy face and you can manage the challenges in a more constructive way. It gives more meaning to your life.
The bottom line is to make time for yourself at a deep level. It can even be while waiting in line or driving. Let go of the many distracting thoughts and any negative thoughts to just be. Ask for any guidance that will be for the highest and the best in your life and then let go mentally.
Release all that internal noise and smile in your heart.
Or, you could just ask for blessings for those that you know and care for. In this way you are connecting with your physical friends as well as spirit.
What ever way you choose to give yourself time to connect with spirit – know that in so doing you are supporting yourself and those around you.
Then you can go back into the foray and enjoy it even more.
